Wide pH applicability
Can maintain thickening effect in the pH range of 4.0-12.0, suitable for acidic to neutral formulas, such as products containing α-hydroxy acids, salicylic acid or organic acid preservatives

Stable thickening even in systems with high electrolyte concentrations (such as salt, moisturizers), suitable for formulas containing plant extracts or water-soluble salts

Only 0.1-0.2% (wt%) of low addition can achieve effective thickening, especially in simple formulas without electrolytes

Usage steps
Dispersion and neutralization
Slowly add Carbomer U30 to water, stirring while dispersing to avoid agglomeration6.
Use triethanolamine (TEA) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to neutralize to pH 6.5-7.5. Stir continuously during neutralization to ensure uniformity.
Adjust viscosity
Adjust the amount added according to needs (recommended 0.2-0.5%), and control the final viscosity by increasing or decreasing the amount or the degree of neutralization.
Formula compatibility
Avoid direct mixing with strong acids (pH <4.0) or high concentrations of surfactants. It is recommended to add active ingredients in stages.
