Operating Instructions (Standard Preparation Method)

1. Basic Formula (0.5% Addition)

Ingredients Content

Carbopol 1342 0.5%

Deionized water to 100%

Neutralizer (AMP) q.s. (adjust pH to 6.0-7.0)

2. Preparation Steps

Pre-dispersion:

Slowly sprinkle Carbopol 1342 into the water phase under stirring at 800-1000rpm

Continue stirring for 40-60 minutes to ensure complete hydration

Electrolyte addition:

Thickening is completed before adding salt components

Stir for 10 minutes for each 1% salt added

Neutralization adjustment:

Use a neutralizer such as AMP-95 to adjust pH to 6.0-7.0

Viscosity will increase significantly after neutralization

Post-treatment:

Add other heat-sensitive ingredients (temperature <50°C)

Homogenization (optional, 2000rpm, 1 minute)

Q1: Can Carbopol 1342 completely replace traditional carbomer?

A: It is the best choice in electrolyte systems, but the cost-effectiveness in ordinary water systems may not be as good as traditional models

A: AMP has a more stable neutralization effect in electrolyte systems, and it is recommended to use AMP-95 to adjust pH
