1. Preparation steps (taking neutral gel as an example)
Raw material preparation
Carbopol 676 powder (recommended addition amount: 0.2%~1.0%, adjusted according to viscosity requirements)
Deionized water (accounting for 80%~90% of the total formula)
Neutralizer (such as triethanolamine/TEA, sodium hydroxide, pH adjusted to 5.0~7.0)
Preservatives, active ingredients (added according to the formula)
Steps and procedures
Pre-dispersion
Under stirring (500~800 rpm), slowly sprinkle Carbopol 676 into deionized water to avoid agglomeration.
Continue stirring for 30~60 minutes until completely dispersed to form a uniform suspension.
Neutralization and thickening
Slowly add neutralizer (such as TEA) while stirring (<300 rpm) to avoid introducing bubbles.
Monitor the pH to 5.0~7.0, the viscosity will rise rapidly, and a transparent gel will be formed.
Post-processing
Add preservatives, active ingredients, etc., and stir at low speed to mix.
Stand and defoam (or vacuum defoam) to obtain the final product.
