Ashland Natrosol™ 250 HHR PC is a nonionic hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), a PC (personal care) grade rheology modifier designed for personal care products. It has excellent thickening, suspension and stabilization properties and is widely used in products such as shampoo, shower gel, lotion and cream.

Dispersion and dissolution process


Under high-speed stirring (≥800rpm), 

slowly sprinkle the powder into cold water to avoid agglomeration.

After complete dispersion, 

heat to 50°C to accelerate dissolution, 

and the solution will be a transparent gel.

    → Solution: Adjust the system pH to neutral and avoid boiling
