Operational recommendations (brief version)

Pre-dispersion: Slowly add Carbopol 934 to the water/glycerin mixture and stir until there are no particles.

Neutralization and thickening: Add a neutralizer (such as TEA) and adjust the pH to the target range (usually 6.0~7.0).

Post-addition: Add heat-sensitive active ingredients at low temperatures (<40℃) to avoid degradation.

FAQ

Q1: Can Carbopol 934 be used in transparent gels?

A: It is suitable for translucent to milky white gels. If extremely high transparency is required, it is recommended to choose Carbopol 980.
Q2: What should I do if lumps appear during preparation?

A: It must be slowly sprinkled into the water phase and stirred continuously (500~800 rpm), or pre-moistened with glycerol/propylene glycol.
Q3: Will high temperature affect the viscosity of Carbopol 934?

A: Short-term heating (≤80℃) has little effect, but long-term high temperature may cause degradation. It is recommended to prepare cold or heat later.
