Dissolution Process:

1. Basic formula (0.5% addition)

Ingredients Content

Carbopol 941 0.5%

Deionized water to 100%

Neutralizer (TEA) q.s. (adjust pH to 5.5-7.0)

2. Preparation steps

Pre-dispersion:

While stirring at 400-600rpm, slowly sprinkle Carbopol 941

Continue stirring for 20-30 minutes until completely dispersed

Neutralization and thickening:

Slowly add neutralizer (10% TEA aqueous solution is recommended)

Adjust pH to the target range (5.5-7.0 is best)

Post-treatment:

Add active ingredients (temperature <50℃)

Filter if necessary (100-200 mesh)

Q1: Can Carbopol 941 be used in alcohol-containing formulations?

A:It can tolerate ≤20% alcohol. For higher content, pre-testing or the use of special polymers is recommended.
Q2: Why is the viscosity of my 941 solution low?

A: Possible reasons: 1) pH is not in the optimal range; 2) The electrolyte content is too high; 3) Incomplete neutralization
