Croda A165/A170 is a non-ionic oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier launched by Croda, suitable for cosmetics, skin care products and pharmaceutical preparations. This series of emulsifiers has excellent stability and compatibility, and can easily prepare delicate emulsions, suitable for formulas such as creams, sunscreens, and essences.

Usage


Oil phase dissolution: Heat A165/A170 and oil components to 70-75℃.

Water phase preparation: Heat the water phase alone to the same temperature.

Emulsification stage: Slowly add the water phase to the oil phase and stir homogenously for 3-5 minutes.

Cooling adjustment: Add active ingredients (such as flavors, preservatives) after cooling to 40℃.

    A165 has a slightly lower HLB value (~11) and is suitable for medium polar oils; A170 (HLB~12) has a better emulsification effect on high polar oils (such as triglycerides).

    Yes, A165/A170 has good compatibility with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. It is recommended to do compatibility testing in advance.
