Cetearyl Alcohol is a natural fatty alcohol mixture (including cetearyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol) derived from coconut oil or palm oil, widely used as an emulsifier, thickener and stabilizer in cosmetics, skin care products and medicines. This product is a white flake or granular solid, in compliance with ISO 22716 and COSMOS certification, safe and mild, suitable for sensitive skin formulas.

Operation Guide


Recommended dosage: 1%-5% (adjust according to formula requirements)


Usage:

Heat the oil phase to 70-75℃, add cetostearyl alcohol and stir to dissolve.

Mix with water phase and homogenize, cool to below 45℃ and add active ingredients.


Precautions:

Avoid direct contact with strong acid/base;

Store in sealed and cool dry place, shelf life 24 months.

    Cetostearyl alcohol is a mixed alcohol of C16 and C18, which has both emulsifying and thickening effects. When using cetostearyl alcohol or octadecanol alone, an additional emulsifier needs to be added.
