Ashland Germall PLUS is an innovative two-component preservative system, which is scientifically formulated with iodopropynyl butyl carbamate (IPBC) and diazolidinyl urea (DMDM hydantoin). It provides full-spectrum microbial protection through synergistic effects, especially against stubborn molds and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and has become a benchmark product for non-formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.

Operation Guide


Conventional system:

Recommended addition amount 0.2-0.5%

Add to water phase below 50°C

High-risk products:

Wet wipes/masks: 0.5-1.0% + 0.2% pentanediol

Products containing protein: 0.5% disodium EDTA must be pre-prepared

Special process:

Add after high salt system (>5%)

Prohibited scenarios:

❌ Spray products (IPBC inhalation risk)

❌ Children's oral and lip products (under 3 years old)
