Textile printing and dyeing applications:


Dissolution process:

Dissolve directly in cold water (no heating required)

Stirring speed: 200-400rpm

Typical formula:

EDTA-4Na 0.5%

Hydrogen peroxide (30%) 5%

Sodium hydroxide adjust pH to 10.5

Key control points:

⚠️ Avoid direct mixing with high concentrations of calcium ions (precipitation will occur)

⚠️ Best effect when used under alkaline conditions

  • Q1: Is EDTA-4NA harmful to the skin?

    A: It is safe to use at low concentrations, but direct contact with high-concentration powder may cause irritation. It is recommended to wear protective gloves during operation and rinse immediately after contact.
  • Q2: Can it replace disodium EDTA (EDTA-2Na)?

    A: The tetrasodium salt is more soluble and more alkaline (pH≈11), suitable for scenes requiring high pH environments (such as bleaching fixer); the disodium salt has a pH≈4-6 and is more suitable for neutral systems.

    A: It may partially decompose at high temperatures (>100℃), and the recommended working temperature is ≤80℃420.
